ENUGU · ABOUT THE GAZETTE · EST. 2023
MeetEnugu is a weekly city gazette for the Coal City — news, food, culture, events and people, reported on foot and delivered to your inbox every Friday morning. We started because the national papers fly over Enugu and the rumour mill fills the gap. A city of a million people deserves better than rumour.
148 issues in, the promise is the same as issue No. 1: real reporting, real neighbourhoods, no wire copy, no clickbait — and free for every reader, forever.

ENUGU · THE RULES WE PRINT UNDER
Every story is reported in person, in Enugu. If we haven't stood in the market, we don't write about the market.
Specifics are respect. We say Awkunanaw, Trans-Ekulu, Independence Layout — never "a part of the city".
Errors are fixed within one edition and flagged at the top of the story. Trust is the whole business.
The Friday Dispatch will always cost nothing. A city gazette belongs to the city.
We love this city and we hold it to account — both, in the same issue, without apology.
